Day 5. Beer 2 – Beeston Brewery – Afternoon Delight

Fakenham Racecourse are our sponsors this evening. This is always a joy to go to and you will have a fantastic day at the races. But this year racing has been different with the Covid-19 restricting meetings and racing taking place behind closed doors. Hopefully the public will be back at the races soon.

It’s not just a racecourse, there is a fantastic camping and caravan site, which is open and taking bookings. There are 125 pitches set in beautiful countryside, some of which are sheltered by tall conifers and mature trees. Have a look at this video of the campsite made by local photographer Keith Osborn

Our second beer today is Beeston Brewery’s Afternoon Delight. A 3.7% easy drinking blond ale. A delight to have in the afternoon, or any time in fact. This is lightly hopped with sweet malty flavours on the tongue. Beeston Brewery have been brewing great beer since 2006, using fine Norfolk malted Maris Otter barley from Branthill Farm near Wells. You can almost certainly find their beer in Beeston Ploughshare and sometimes in Litcham Bull, Massingham Dabbling Duck, West Acre Stag and Beetley New Inn. You can arrange to collect from the brewery, and bottles are available from Beers Of Europe and The Real Ale Shop. Cheers.
